Port of Patmos

The port of Patmos is located in Skala, on the east coast of the island. Being a small island, the port is of modest size, offering anchorage to passenger ferries from the neighboring islands in the Dodecanese archipelago. The port of Skala originates from the 1600s and was built as a defensive structure, which today welcomes tourists arriving by boat.

The port is about five kilometers from the island's capital, Chora and there are bus connections from the port to some places on the island. Departures can be sporadic, but they allow you to get from the port to Chora, Grikos and from Skala to Kampos.

The island does not have an airport and the closest one is on Kos, which three hours away by catamaran. From Kos airport, you board a Ktel bus that goes to the stop near the ferry terminal, about 900 meters way. Other solutions are the Athens airport or Leros airport.
