The port of Paros is located in Parikia on the west coast of the island. The port provides many connections throughout the year and is the main transport hub of the Cyclades. It is a good sized natural harbor, sheltered to the north by a bay and only winds from the west present problems for ships and ferries. The services for boaters and passengers arriving or departing on board ferries arre vast, there are restaurants, bars, shops and an information office. The connection with Antiparos provides a nice day trip, with daily excursions lasting about an hour only available during the summer.
Paros also has an airport in Agkairia, which connects with Athens and Thessaloniki Airports, however the flights are not daily and have very limited places. From Athens Airport, one way to get to Paros is to take a bus or taxi to the port of Piraeus, from there you can take a ferry to Paros. The connection from the Athens airport to the port of Piraeus takes about an hour and a half on the X96 bus that leaves every twenty minutes.
